Morgan was in the middle of pre-production of THE SIMPSONS® 20th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL – IN 3D ON ICE, and was heading to the 2009 Comic-Con in San Diego to film some fanatical Simpsons fans for the program. The conversation touched on many issues and never got dull.

BKeffer: Thanks Morgan. Oh, since I'm doing this for Latin NewsWire do you mind if I conduct the interview in broken English with a Spanish accent?
Morgan Spurlock: Laughter.... no, go right ahead.

BKeffer: Ok, great. Do ju thinns dis... ah, just kidding. Hey Morgan, it is good to see you doing legitimate theater for a change.
Morgan Spurlock: Laughter.... You mean The Simpsons? You're right, thank you.

BKeffer: Your upcoming movie, Freakonomics deals with the economic turnaround, given the fact that The Simpsons have been blamed for having an affect on basically everyone. Do you believe that they have any blame to take for the current economic state?
Morgan Spurlock: Laughter.... The Simpsons? They just might. I think that's -yes, we need to bring that up. We should make sure that the current administration knows that.

BKeffer: Okay, now this will be your first major animated undertaking, how did you approach the project? Like Homer tip toeing up to the last donut, or radioactive man charging in guns blazing?
Morgan Spurlock: Yes, and the whole thing will be animated, and there will be some original animation, but most of it will be clips, so- like Homer charging toward the donut...

BKeffer: Will you be animated?
Morgan Spurlock: The reason they called me too, it was interesting, is because they'd seen Super Size Me and watched 30 Days, but then they were watching Where in the World in Osama Bin Laden, and it was literally when they saw the opening animation fight sequence where we did this video game where I was fighting Osama Bin Laden in the game, and that's when Al Jean looked at Matt Groening and said, "We have to call this guy to do the special,'" which was amazing and was one of the greatest calls I ever got in my life. But I think that since they saw that I was somebody who tried to make stuff fun and interesting, and live in animation world that maybe that's why they wanted to get me involved in this.

BKeffer: Well, your life is more animated than an animation most of the time.
Morgan Spurlock: Yes, these days it sure seems that way.

BKeffer: Will you be animated in this one at all?
Morgan Spurlock: You know, that's a good question. We talked about this with somebody else. I don't know. It would be a cool thing to do.What a great thing would it be to actually get to be an animated character in The Simpsons, but I don't know.

BKeffer: And with the passing of the gloved one, the Michael Jackson episode from The Simpsons-
Morgan Spurlock: ...just like any other night on television. I had literally watched it the week before on DVD, and then I saw it again the other night and it's such a great episode.

BKeffer: It really is. The Simpsons, like you said earlier, have affected everybody as if we're living in a parallel universe.
Morgan Spurlock: Yes, absolutely.

BKeffer: And a lot of people will start their day off by saying, "Well, what would Homer do? What would Bart do?"
Morgan Spurlock: And hopefully we find those people at Comic-Con this weekend, I want to find those people who literally live the, "WWHD" (What would Homer do) lifestyle.

BKeffer:And I think you will. Well, good luck with this one and great career, Morgan. Thanks for all the great entertainment so far and thanks for your time.
Morgan Spurlock: Thank You, I appreciate it Bruce.
